Sacred 2 Does Not Start

"Sacred 2" is an action-based role-playing game for the computer. Released in 2008 by Ascaron, the game requires an Internet connection in order to play, for security purposes. Sometimes, the Internet connection and other factors can prevent "Sacred 2" from starting properly. However, Ascaron has gone out of business since the game's release, so there is no official support for problems. You can still resort to basic troubleshooting and fixes.

Temporarily disable your firewall while you play the game. Press "Start." Type "Windows Firewall" and press "Enter." Click "Turn Windows Firewall on or off" and click "Off." Consult the documentation of your firewall if you use a third-party program as each one is different.

Double-click the "Steam" icon on your desktop. Click "Games." Right-click "Sacred 2" and click "Delete local content."

Right-click "Sacred 2" again. This time, click "Install."
